Module Description
Functional Anatomy and Movement
This module is about understanding the functional anatomy of the body both on a physical level and on a cellular level.
Functional anatomy will break down how the body moves not only through yoga postures but through everyday life. Through hands-on learning, discussion and group work the following key elements will be covered:
- Review of the body's framework (bones) & what moves the framework (muscles)
- Inner Cellular Anatomy - The framework of connective tissue
- Introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine - Basis of functional movement
- What those movements look like (yoga, sitting all day, standing at work, etc.)
Practice clothes, journal and pen required
Session open to public - prerequisite 200 Register Yoga Teacher
