Module 3 of 3: Restoring Rhythm & Resilience

Date: September 21-22nd, 2024
Location: SPY Cincinnati
Prerequisite: 200 YTT, Module 1 & 2

The experience of trauma can impact an individual's ability to attune to their body's internal messages resulting in lack of self-regulation and feelings of helplessness. Yoga is shown to empower trauma-survivors by helping them reconnect with these sensations and take effective action in caring for themselves on and off the mat. In this two-day workshop, you'll learn how to guide students to notice and navigate a broader range of sensations and foster resilience. You will experience and develop your own trauma-sensitive yoga sequences that integrate the grounding practices from module 2 with yoga poses taught in a typical class. The focus will be on teaching to sensation versus appearance, as well as, how to anchor the body and joints in safety to encourage rhythm and resilience. This is the third module in a three-part series. Participation in the first two  modules is pre-requisite.
