"Not necessarily a pose, but tool: dristi. Establishing a strong, focused gaze in each pose to unite the mind, body, and breath, in order to create full expansion."

Bio
Yoga has been in and out of my life since I was 14, though primarily through the lens of exercise. After moving to Loveland and attending a Symmes Township community yoga class led by a SPY teacher in 2017, I immediately had to find a studio - Simply Power Yoga in Loveland. SPY became my sanctuary: a place to meet new friends, build community, and take time for myself. After a few years being in the practice, I realized yoga wasn't about getting a good "workout" in (let's face it, savasana is the best part anyways) and wanted to further my knowledge and spread the joy of yoga through teaching. I received my 200 RYT in 2022 from Heidi and her team. My last few years have been spent branching out to study Ashtanga, Rocket, 26/2, and Hatha, but Power Flow feels like home. Keeping the flow simple and modest so that the student can be present and focused on stilling the fluctuating mind is my approach to leading any class. When not at the studio, I am raising two daughters, and caring for three retired greyhounds with my husband of 20 years (14 married).
